I think this is a beautiful painting, and I don't feel it deserves so much hostility towards the artist. Of course, art is supposed to cause controversy, and Mr. Hussain, your paintings are not the exception! I hope that someday people can actually appreciate your lovely artwork.

this is a great painting.. kudos to hussain for such a precise depiction of what idiots like these have made of the country. Hey you mad fools, if you want to take out your anger, take it out on yourself and others like you who have collectively stripped our Bharatmata - not just of her cover, but also of her virtues - not a painter who merely reported the fact. A common Indian does not feel any different than this depiction by Hussein. She had been stripped long ago, for a common man's imagination.

Mr Hussein, Nude picture is not a good idea to draw and in our culture belief. You should have avoided spoiling the people belief. It is only for these types of fools, that these kinds of people (M.F Hussain) finds amusing to degrade a wholesome culture into a mery nudity. Ofcourse, these pictures are nude as its without clothes,there is nothing to think about. Even if you think about the wholesome creation, then it can also be done by seeing a deity with clothes or a mery imaginati for e.g. you dont have to watch your mother nude, to know that she created you.

It's a fantastic piece of work. If you don't like it or enjoy it for what it is don't look at it.
