DONT CALL IT VANDALISM....IT IS THE DUTY OF EVERY INDIAN CITIZEN TO DESTROY NUDE FIDA HUSSAIN
A great painter need not necessarily be a true gentleman. This is very true in case of MF Hussain. Our country's communists and the congress are all everready and morethan willing to come to rescue of MF hussain who intentionally is denigrating hindu gods and mother India. The indian media which usually cares a hoot for hindu culture devoted considerable time and space sermonising the danish paper for publishing cartoons depicting the prophet. While I too am against such depiction, I am more concerned as to why the same media has not sermonised MF Hussain or the authors who denigrated Maratha king Shivaji. Instead, the media used to carry news such as "Hindu fundementalits" " "Vandalism" " threat to freedom of expression" " communalizing art" so on and so forth. The ethics should be same and universal irrespective of religion. The CM of AP Dr. YSR has spent half the time on the prophet cartoon issue during the recently held free media convention at Ramoji film city in hyderabad and naturally all the media representatives expressed serious concern against the danish news paper. Not a single mention of the similar incidents that happened in India. Considering the above the thumb rule seems to be " when you denigrate hindu gods or hindu culture...it is freedom of expression" " when you denigrate other religions especially Islam...it is abusing freedom of expression".
Fashion shows in India and abroad have carried hindu god images on lingerie. It was left only to the VHP/RSS/B'dal to react. The media only carried reactions of these groups...but the media did not express its views on what is right or wrong.....for there is no need to express the views on such shows..because we hindus are very very liberal...so liberal that denigration , abuse of our culture and gods can go to any extent.
